How refunds work for escrow transactions, deposits, and payments.
Because Escroc holds funds in escrow until both parties confirm a transaction, refunds are primarily handled through the release and dispute flow inside each escrow, rather than a traditional after-the-fact refund request.
If a buyer does not receive the agreed goods or service, they can open a dispute from the escrow's conversation page. Funds remain held securely until the dispute is reviewed and resolved.
Once a seller has delivered as agreed, the buyer approves release of the funds. Sellers may also send a release request when they believe the buyer is satisfied.
If a transaction is cancelled before both parties confirm, or a payment fails or is duplicated, any amount charged through a payment gateway (card, bank, or crypto) is refunded to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, minus any non-refundable processing fees already charged by the gateway.
Platform service fees and currency-exchange charges already applied to a completed transaction are non-refundable once funds have been released to the seller.
